Students/Staff Helping Aspiring Physicians Excel

In an effort to encourage students from underrepresented groups to pursue medical careers, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion created mentoring program that connects Georgetown undergraduates with mentors from the Council on Diversity Affairs.

Overall goals of the program include:

Keep students motivated and focused on attending medical school
Have students identify and create short term and long term goals
Foster a meaningful relationship between medical students and undergrads
Currently 19 undergraduate students are being mentored by CODA members.
Mentor pairs meet individually on a monthly basis and group events will be planned three times in the Spring Semester over specific topics.
