Meeting Time and Place: If you are enrolled in this elective, report to 7 PHC at 7:30 am on the first day for a brief orientation session with Dr. Tornatore.

Description: The advanced elective consists of both outpatient and inpatient experiences. Students will spend half the rotation in the outpatient subspecialty clinics (Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromuscular, Headache, Memory Disorders, Neuro-ophthalmology) and the other half of the rotation on the inpatient services (general neurology service, stroke service, consultative service). If the student so chooses, they can spend more or less time on any given service or part of the rotation.

Meeting Time and Place: Meet at Bles 5 at the EEG reading room at 8am on the first day where you will work with the techs and meet with Dr. Motamedi later in the day.

Description: Experience in the performance and interpretation of electroencephalography, polysomnography, evoked potentials, electromyography, topographical mapping, and intraoperative monitoring. Students will also have exposure to outpatient clinical assessment of sleep disorders, epilepsy, EMG, and neuromuscular disease. This elective may be tailored to individual student needs and interests.
