Careers in Medicine

The School of Medicine faculty strongly encourage you to begin your career development investigation early in your medical school career. All GUSOM students should have received a Careers in Medicine login code during the first few weeks of First Year.

If you have problems with your login username or password, you may contact the Office of Student Affairs at medstudentaffairs@georgetown.edu or (202) 687-3116.

Dahlgren Memorial Library

The Dahlgren Memorial Library has constituted a Specialty Selection and Residency Resource Guide for your use. It contains excellent resources to assist you. The library staff has long been known to be exceptionally helpful and receptive to new ways of serving future physicians.

Specialty Interest Meetings

Look for announcements and clinical advising information in your email and also on MedThread, the school blog. Sign up for the RSS feed for your desired specialty! As you go to these meetings, be sure to take notes and record your experience in the Clinical Advising E-Portfolio
