The BRIC (Bias Reduction & Improvement Coaches) Program empowers faculty and staff facilitators in departments across GUMC to provide dialogues around unconscious and conscious bias awareness and reduction.

Up to 20 Facilitators who are faculty and staff members will be recruited for the pilot program. These representatives will come from departments across GUMC and be identified in various ways:

  • Self-nominated based on interest in topic and training other colleagues in
  • department
  • Departmental designees recommended by Chairs of Departments
  • Have previously attended an AAMC Everyday Bias Training - see list in Section VII below
  • Membership on FDI Subcommittee of FDC

Outreach will be conducted through GUMC announcements on web, email and promotion through Departmental Chairs. Stay tuned for appication information on this page!
