Transgender Health in the U.S. Military Healthcare System Patient Panel and other events to celebrate LGBTQ identity and healthcare in OUTober.

In addition to community building events that start next week with celebrating National Coming Out Day, co-hosted with Hoya MedAlliance, our upcoming GUSOM Health Equity Forum on October 18 is entitled, "Transgender Health in the U.S. Military Healthcare System." This is a patient panel discussion facilitated by Dr. David Klein, Major, United States Air Force, Chief, Adolescent Medicine, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, VA, and his patients. The forum will focus on the medical and dynamic policy considerations for caring for those with gender dysphoria in the military healthcare system. M2 Peer Dialogue Facilitators will also be hosting a lunch-time discussion later this month called "Out In Medicine: Unpacking Gender and Sexuality" on October 20. For a full schedule of events across all of Georgetown University, please visit:  lgbtq.georgetown.edu/OUTober2016
