Medstar Health Workgroup for Racial Justice (WGRJ) and Academic Affairs URiM Visiting Student Rotation Scholarship

In order to offload the burden of visiting rotations and to encourage a diverse resident cohort, Medstar Health offers support for students who are under-represented in medicine. The following departments at Medstar Health are accepting students for consideration for scholarship support for visiting rotations:

Anesthesiology
General Surgery – Baltimore
General Surgery – DC
Dermatology
Emergency medicine
Family Medicine
Gastroenterology (GI)
Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Cardiology, Nephrology, Heme/Onc, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology) Med-Peds
Ophthalmology
Orthopaedic Surgery
Otolaryngology (ENT)
Pathology
Pediatrics
Plastic Surgery
Psychiatry
Radiation Oncology
Rehabilitation Medicine (PM&R)
Urology
Vascular surgery

Scholarship recipients will receive $1500 dollars to help offload the costs of the visiting rotation. These may be applied to housing, food, etc.
