Parents Handbook

Georgetown University seal in metal relief against a blue backdrop

The four years of life called medical school are a demanding, but rewarding, journey that will bring challenges and great satisfaction to those who undertake them.

With this handbook, family members can get a glimpse into the “big picture” of what it takes to become a doctor. Its contents include calendars, key contact information and other information that we hope families will find useful as their students move through their medical school experience.
Please know that we are here for your student in every way possible, and we’ll answer any questions you might have. We also welcome your comments and suggestions. You may direct them to Mikey Cassidy, Executive Assistant, Office of the Dean, School of Medicine
