Welcome, Prospective Students
Since 1851, Georgetown University has been instructing the world’s future doctors with a commitment to education that is intrinsic to our tradition as one of the country’s most established, well-known universities.
The School of Medicine now offers an assortment of degrees all-encompassing the reputation that has been instilled in it by hundreds of years of Jesuit education. The school has available dual degrees including MD/ Ph.D., MD/MALS, MD/MPH, MD/MBA, and MD/MS with a number of concentrations in addition to the traditional medical degree. With these offerings, Georgetown remains a place of origin for America’s doctors of tomorrow.
In medicine, few things matter more than those we treat. The patient’s well-being is not just a marker for success but a connection to another that inspires the kinship and selflessness that can only be learned as it is experienced. That is cura personalis.
At Georgetown University School of Medicine, our aim is to take the best candidates into our program and give them experience and training necessary to make a difference to all they treat, in so doing, we hope they will gain that empathy that will make them the doctors our world needs.
