Cultivating Opportunity & Realizing Excellence (CORE) Leadership Program
About CORE

The Cultivating Opportunity Realizing Excellence in Health (CORE-H) Program is open to all community college students pursuing medicine and/or other healthcare professions. Applicants must have one semester completed prior to applying and graduation date after December 2025.
The CORE Program is a virtual, six-week-long, cohort-modeled undergraduate student health professions pathway program that focuses on providing opportunities for connection and exposure to medicine and health sciences through the Georgetown University Medical Center.
CORE Goals
- To provide opportunities for exposure, experience and reflection in medicine and health sciences for undergraduate students interested in pursuing medical studies.
- To nurture student’s commitments to advancing opportunities for populations who lack equitable access to health care and/or are committed to serving the underserved in the United States.
CORE Values
- Prepare to navigate a rigorous and demanding profession by building connections at Georgetown University Medical Center.
- Persist as leaders and advocates of change in the medical and health professions.
- Practice addressing prominent issues impacting health care and health care disparities with Georgetown University Medical Center.
