Reporting Time and Place: 4N Main Hospital, Suite M4200, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Conference Room at 8am. To find out the fellow and attending to whom you will be reporting, please email Riza Peralta at peraltar@gunet.georgetown.edu the week prior to the start of your rotation.

Duration: Four Weeks

Max Students: Three students/ block

Description: This elective is designed with primary emphasis on the clinical aspects of pulmonary diseases, both diagnostic and therapeutic. The student is an integral part of the team and has the opportunity to work closely with full-time physicians in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. The rotation will include 2 weeks of inpatient consults and 2 weeks of outpatient clinic. There will be opportunity to observe interventional pulmonary procedures including Bronchoscopy, Thoracentesis, chest tube insertion and medical thoracoscopy.
