Applicants arriving at Ronald Reagan National Airport may catch a taxi from the airport to the School of Medicine. If your schedule allows enough time, you can take the BLUE LINE Metrorail subway from National Airport to the Rosslyn Metro Station and catch the Georgetown University Transportation System (GUTS) to the Medical Center or take a Metro to the Foggy Bottom station, and then catch a taxi there to the School. The use of public transportation will cost about a quarter as much as taking a taxi for the full distance. If staying locally at a hotel or with friends too far from the School to conveniently walk, you may wish to utilize the Metrobus system which, with connections, comes down Reservoir Road, NW, with a stop directly in front of the School at 3900 Reservoir Road, NW.

Metrobus and Metrorail route and schedule information is available on their website, or by calling 202-637-7000.  The GUTS bus schedule is also available online.

It is strongly suggested that if you are flying in, you arrive at Ronald Reagan International Airport (DCA).  There is a Metro stop at Reagan, which is approximately five stops away from the Rosslyn Metro stop, where there is a GUTS bus stop. The airports at Dulles International (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) are far from the School, somewhat inconvenient, and taxis/bus connections can be costly. However, there is public transportation from these airports.  There is a shuttle from BWI to Greenbelt Station, and a bus from Dulles to Rosslyn.  Please check the WMATA website for more information.

Candidates arriving by Union Station may reach the School directly by Metrorail and Guts bus, Metrobus, or taxi.
