Former ARCHES Fellow Lamek Kahsay discusses his experience with the Georgetown University School of Medicine ARCHES Program and gives advice to future applicants.
Lamek was an undergraduate student at University of Rochester from Washington, DC. He planned to major in Environmental Health and pursue a Clinical Psychology minor. He wanted to practice looking at the holistic approach to medicine and incorporate public health background in his practice by for one looking at the socioeconomic status of his patients. His focus was on the health conditions of immigrant youth specifically in DC. He aspired to pursue aspects of global health.
