The Penn Visiting Clerkship Program for Students Underrepresented in Medicine

Posted in News Story

Each year we accept a number of 4th year medical students to rotate at one of our hospitals for 1 month. Each students has the opportunity to complete either a sub-internship or elective rotation in a number of Specialties and, if selected, receives a Faculty Mentor, up to $1500 to cover travel and housing, and a personal meeting or interview with the Residency Program Director in the program of their interest. Students have really enjoyed their time here in the last few years and we hope that you will share this information with any potentially interested students.

Rotation opportunities exist in the following specialties: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry and Urology.
