International students are not eligible to apply for need-based institutional aid.

ACTION ITEM #1 —

Complete the Georgetown School of Medicine Application for Financial Aid (new window) by 11:59 PM EST on February 7th to be considered for institutional aid. The financial aid application deadline applies to all applicants regardless of admission status (i.e. wait-listed, not yet accepted). Applicants accepted after February 7th who did not complete the application will NOT be considered for institutional aid.

Incoming students applying ONLY for federal student loans to meet their education expenses and do not wish to be considered for institutional aid, are not required to complete a financial aid application, however they must complete the GUSOM Federal Authorization Form (new window)  by March 1st.

ACTION ITEM #2 —

Complete the 2025 – 2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by 11:59 PM EST on February 7th to be considered for institutional aid. Georgetown University School of Medicine’s FAFSA Code is E00518.

Because of the FAFSA Simplification Act, you will no longer be able to provide parental/guardian financial data. As such, please see the next action item below for how to provide us this data instead to determine financial need. Please note that FAFSA data can take 4 – 8 weeks for us to receive it from the federal processor, and we will NOT be able to confirm receipt unless you have been accepted to GUSOM.

ACTION ITEM #3 —

Complete the 2025 – 2026 CSS Profile by 11:59 PM EST on February 7th to be considered for institutional aid. Our GUSOM school code  for the CSS Profile is 3466

There is a small cost to complete the application – the fee for the initial application is $25. Additional reports for other schools are $16 each. We do NOT have access to fee waivers for the CSS Profile.

When filling out this application, please complete ALL information requested for yourself AND your parent(s)/guardian(s) (note: when applicable, BOTH parental/guardian data MUST be provided whether married, never married, separated or divorced). This is REQUIRED on the CSS Profile for ALL need-based institutional aid applicants regardless of age, independence or marital status. Though the CSS Profile may state that you should submit your parent(s)’/guardian(s)’ taxes, we ask that you DO NOT send tax documents to Georgetown Med.

REMINDER: if you do NOT wish to be considered for institutional financial aid, you will need to complete the (1) 2025 – 26 FAFSA  and (2) Federal Authorization Form  by March 1st, 2025 (11:59 PM EST) to receive a federal loans-only financial aid package.
