What is Mini-Med School about?
Mini Medical School is an eight-week seminar series in which Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) faculty volunteer their time to present various topics of biomedicine during two-hour sessions. Lectures typically include four basic science and four clinical science topics. There is no homework and there are no tests, but the program is very enriching and offers participants an insight into a medical school course.

Every year, for eight weeks, in the spring and fall. The program is always held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Will I receive credits for attending the program?
The continuing education units offered by Georgetown University are generic CEUs. Many regulatory bodies will accept this verification as a means of fulfilling continuing education requirements. Some professional organizations require that CEUs be obtained from specific granting bodies. It is your responsibility to determine that the CEUs from Georgetown will satisfy the requirements of your professional organization. You will receive .2 units for each session you attend, for a maximum of 1.6 units.
